Route itinerary
Day 1 – Flying to San Francisco, transfer to hotel and welcome dinner.

Day 2 – Today we start our tour! After breakfast and check-out we take the short walk to the Harley Davidson rental station. As this is a full-service Harley Davidson dealership, there is an opportunity to do last minute shopping if needed… Our first stop will be just on the other side of the Golden Gate, a classic photo opportunity. We will pass through Bodega Bay, more famous for Hitchcock, The Birds… The day ends in Fort Bragg, home to the 82nd Airborne division.

Day 3 – Today we ride through the Avenue of the Giants, the impressive Redwoods… At Rio Dell, we head east through the Six Rivers National Forest. We close the day with sleep-over in the well preserved Gold Rush town of Weaverville.

Day 4 – After breakfast we head back towards the ocean through the Trinity Alps. We ride along the Trinity River and really get a feel for the Wild West… A north ride through the coastal redwoods brings us to Crescent City. We start to climb into the Klamath Mountains and arrive in the state of Oregon, ending todays ride in Grants Pass.

Day 5 – Today we head back into California to the Cascade Range and Mount Shasta, a magnificent volcanic wonder. We stop for lunch in the small town of Weed… Continuing through MacArthur before coming to the second volcanic spectacle, Mount Lassen. We end our day in Chester.

Day 6 – We ride south to the Gold Rush burg of Sierraville. And then it’s up and up… and along the shores of California and Nevada’s most prized jewel, Lake Tahoe. Beware of the casinos…

Day 7 – Assuming we still have some money left… we ride next to the rustic town of Markleeville in Alpine County, California’s highest and least populated county. Heading west through the mountain passes and the road travels south through the gold fields to the perfectly preserved Gold Rush town of Columbia. It is compulsory to ride through Yosemite National Park…

Dag 8 – We are continuing south to Glennville for lunch and through Sequoia National Park and down thru dessert landscape to Ridgecrest. For those of you with some energy left, we’ll take a ride up to Death Valley!

Day 9 – Todays ride leads next to Lake Isabella on the Kern River in the Sequoia National Forest before climbing down to Bakersfield. A run across the south end of the San Joaquin Valley brings us to Taft and the historic and starkly enthralling oil fields of West Kern County. From here it’s a thrilling ride over the mountains of the Los Padres National, and a ride along the fringe of the Santa Inez Mountains to gracious Santa Barbara.

Day 10 – Here we pick up Highway 1 again for a long breathtaking tour of the Central Coast. We ride to Denmark… yes, when we enter the town of Solvang, you'll believe that’s where you are… We continue up Highway 1 with plenty of photo opportunities of stunning views and up the length of the legendary Big Sur to artsy Carmel, where Clint Eastwood once served as mayor. We end the day in Monterey.

Day 11 – Final day of this tour! We continue the California 1 all the way up to San Francisco and return the bikes at the Harley Davidson rental center. There is time in the afternoon to do some last minute shopping. We close this tour with a farewell dinner, enjoying the memories of this great ride!

Day 12 – Time to fly home… For those of you who want, we can arrange to stay more days to experience this great town. Things to do are: Alcatraz, Fisherman's Whaft, Union Square, China Town and a lot more...
