Route 66

Experience the great feeling of driving "The Mother Road of USA". We ride through the great prairie, Indian territories, some large cities and small classic route 66 towns. From Chicago to Los Angeles, via Grand Canyon and Las Vegas. More than 4000 km of pure pleasure and a great adventure!

This ride is always on a Harley Davidson. Take the opportunity to ride a Harley Davidson - this classic route simply must be ridden on a classic motorbike, they go hand in hand!

We are maximum 15 bikes on each tour!

What's included:
- Motorcycle (unlimited mileage and always of latest model)
- Fuel
- Oneway fee / Toll gate fees

- Luggage van (on specific dates only)
- Transfer to hotel and to the airport for the flight home
- Insurance*

What's not included:
- Flights to and from USA (but we will gladly assist you to create
  a complete package)
- Food and drinks (except for Welcome- and Farewell dinner)
- Personal motorcycle equipment
- Helicopter ride over Grand Canyon
- Other personal expenses

All tours are with English, German and Swedish speaking guides!

Route itinerary
Day 1 – Flight to Chicago, transfer to hotel, Welcome dinner in the evening.

Day 2 – Chicago, Il -> Springfield, Il Collection of our Harleys and let the adventure
begin! After safety check we take interstate towards Joliet, where we will see the first
Route 66 signs. En route we stop for lunch at the Launching Pad in Wilmington, one of
the last original restaurants on Route 66. The day ends in Springfield, better known as
Abraham Lincoln's home town.

Day 3 – Springfield (Illinois) -> St Louis (Illinois) We ride towards St Louis. On the
horizon we see the Gateway Arch, a monument symbolizing the importance of the city
for the expansion towards the wild west. The city is located on the Mississippi river.

Day 4 – St Louis -> Springfield (Missouri) The highlight of today will be the Meramec
Caverns, known for its hide out for outlaw Jesse James. This is a classical tourist attraction
since the beginning of Route 66.

Day 5 – Springfield -> Oklahoma City (Oklahoma) Easy cruising on Route 66, we ride through
Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma.

Day 6 – Oklahoma City -> Amarillo (Texas) Crossing the South Canadian River and the bridge
with its 38 arches. We continue towards Clinton and visit the Route 66 museum. Next stop will
be the Cadillac Ranch, where 10 Cadillacs are half buried. The day ends with a big steak on
Big Texan Steak House...

Day 7 – Amarillo -> Santa Fe (New Mexico) Today we pass the Midpoint Cafe in Adrian.
True to its name, it is situated half way between Chicago and Los Angeles.

Dag 8 – Santa Fe -> Gallup (New Mexico) Madrid…, where "Wild Hogs" was filmed (with John Travolta).
We stop at Maggie's Diner... We continue to towards El Rancho hotel in Gallup, better known as the hotel frequented by Hollywood celebrities e.g. Errol Flynn, Kirk Douglas and John Wayne.

Day 9 – Gallup -> Chinle (Arizona) Riding through Navajo country. Taking turn north to the
Four Corners, the only place where 4 states meet. Turning south again, we visit Canyon de Chelley
national monument and its 244 m high Spider Rock.

Day 10 – Chinle -> Flagstaff (Arizona) First part of today takes us through Petrified Forest and Painted Desert. Cruising on towards Holbrook and Winslow, two typical Route 66 towns...

Day 11 – Flagstaff -> Seligman (Arizona) Today we arrive to the great Grand Canyon. If you ever wanted to fly in a helicopter, this is the place...

Day 12 – Seligman -> Las Vegas (Nevada) After breakfast we ride to Hoover Dam, world's second largest dam built in the 1930's and holding back the Colorado River. Later today we arrive in Las Vegas... no introduction needed...

Day 13 – Las Vegas (Nevada) You simply need 2 days to experience Las Vegas...

Day 14 – Las Vegas -> Barstow (California) Cruising Las Vegas Boulevard before we turn towards Barstow and Route 66, just another day of great riding…

Day 15 – Barstow -> San Diego (California) The last few miles on Route 66 before we head south to San Diego. Here we have the opportunity to visit an aircraft carrier (USS Midway)! Really interesting!

Day 16 – San Diego -> Santa Monica (California) We return our Harleys and end our adventure with a farewell dinner!

Day 17 – Time to leave... transfers to the airport for the journey home…

At the rental station you can get additional insurance, VIP Theft & Damage insurance, costs USD 18/day (deposition USD 500), which reduces your liability to USD 2000. There is also an Enhanced VIP Theft and Damage, costs USD 24/day (deposition USD 300), which reduces your liability to USD 1000 and also includes flat tyre repair. Further information can be received at rental station.

You should also review your personal insurance to validate that it also cover driving a motorcycle
